ALUMINA STOOL
Strength is something most Designers fight with (or against) since any initial sketch goes into production. The constant struggle, literally, to make most products gain track and flexibility. Lightness is therefore the element that prevails in any wishful product description.
Designers praise how light anything feels to touch, and how easy it will be to move. Lightness, however, gives you a hard bargain: resistance and longevity. How something will act and age in any given environment. We tend to touch, move, or break something at home or in public, on a daily basis. That’s a given.
That principle was also there when we went down a mine or up a steelworks factory bespoke collection, just out of a batch oven (which can convey and turn the “dough “ into something slender and chic), is that it does not hide the incredible structured texture which aluminium gives, but sublimes it.
Smooth is a concept we do not usually associate with metallic surfaces (velvet
got there first), but it is smooth. Add the practical fact that they’re incredibly comfortable throughout, and you have chairs, stools, benches, and ultimately tables, which can translate beautifully what fire and heat turned into a soft surface. At Studio Gameiro we take time to make something work. This took a while, through test and trial, and now it’s time for you to take a seat. Fitted cushions in different finishes can be also supplied upon request.
Welcome to a new smooth. Process throughout.
